It is less than three weeks til Christmas and Santa has been spotted around Weyburn in recent weeks.

There is a special fundraiser at the City Centre Mall on Sunday with all proceeds donated going to the Family of Kevin and Crystal Cornish.

Nolan, their six-month-old son was born with Down Syndrome and a hole in his heart as well as respiratory issues.

"The family has been struggling with being in an out of the hospital for the entire six months of his life pretty much," explains Sandy Johnson, Co-organiser of the fundraiser, who works with Crystal.

Nolan is in Edmonton hospital at the moment for a heart operation which happened last week and has since been in recovery.

"It's going to be a long haul and the family has to, of course, fend for themselves while they are out there so we are trying to raise money to help take the worry from the bills and expenses and let them just focus on their little guy and making sure he's going to be okay," added Johnson.

Santa is going to be at the City Centre Mall from 1-5pm and will be available for the public to take photos with for a donation.

"People can come bring their pets, bring their children, their spouses, sit on Santa's knee."

Johnson said there will not be a photographer present but the public can take their own photos and use them however they want.
