On Friday of last week, Roy Hardy, became Former City Manager as he ended his time with the City. He was hired last August. Matthew Warren agreed to become the interim City Manager while staying on in his Leisure Services Director position.

Yesterday was Warrens first full day and took the City Manager seat at City Council last night.

"We have a really strong group within Leisure Services. I have been here nine years and my senior management hasn't changed at all. What we continue to do is business as usual. I delegate some other things off to my staff as needed," explained Warren.

Warren continues to go to Leisure service meetings as well as taking on responsibilities as interim City Manager such as signing documents.

"I would do anything for this community and anything for this city. We have a great group through the council, great group of administration and frontline staff. For us, it's about working as a team and going forward and its been great for me for the first day."

Warren is taking each day as it comes. He thanks the City for choosing him and the honour of thinking of him for the role.
