First place went to Nicole Griffin, second to Elisa Fawcett, and third to Don Boehm.

The results were announced by the curator of the Weyburn Arts Council, Regan Lanning. "This was the 33rd year for the show, which makes it the longest running peoples' choice award in all of Western Canada," said Lanning,  "Something to be proud of."

The James Weir competition is named after founder of the Weyburn Arts Council.

James Weir passed away in 2005.
