March 7th

-       At about 4:25 pm the Weyburn PS received a report of suspicious activity in a vehicle.  Upon locating the vehicle 2 19 year old female occupants were arrested and subsequently charged with possession of marihuana. 

-       At about 11pm the Weyburn PS were dispatched to a local bar regarding some sort of disturbance.  After sorting out the issue it appears that there was an altercation between a 31 year old male victim and a 42, 46 and 24 year old antagonists.  The matter was resolved without any further need for police intervention.

March 8th

-       The Weyburn PS received a report of harassing communications between a 22 year old male suspect and a 26 year old female victim.  The suspect was spoken to and warned of his actions and that criminal charges could be laid if the communication continues.

March 9th

-       At about 4:20 the Weyburn PS received a report that a 22 year old female had stolen a vehicle.  The vehicle was located a short distance away but the driver was not present.  As a result of this incident the Ministry of Social Services was contacted and apprehended an infant child and a 1 year old child.  The matter is still under investigation.

-       At about 5:25 pm the Weyburn PS received a complaint regarding the erratic behaviors of vehicle occupants travelling near 16th Street.  The vehicle and occupants were eventually located and it was learned that the occupants – a 35 year old male and a 27 year old male were having an argument.  No police action was required.

March 10th

-       In unrelated cases The Weyburn PS provided assistance to Two  emotionally disturbed people to receive a medical assessment at the hospital

-       At about 10:40 am the Weyburn PS received a report of a domestic argument at a local sporting facility.  The matter was mediated.

March 12th

-       The Weyburn PS conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that had a burned out headlight.  As a result of the stop a 16 year old female and 17 year old male were charged with possession of marihuana.

The Weyburn PS continues to receive complaints regarding computer and telephone scams.  As always, we urge anyone receiving any type of communication that they feel is odd to not provide any personal or financial information until they themselves verify that the request is legitimate.

The past week also saw a number of minor vehicle collisions due mainly to road conditions.  We wish to remind drivers that regardless of the speed limits you must drive according to the road conditions.
