A planned power outage will take place on Sunday, affecting much of Weyburn.

SaskPower will be making upgrades to the area power system and is planning to shut off the power from 5 to 8 Sunday morning. Residents east of Main Street to 16th Street NE and north of Railway Avenue to Coteau Avenue will be without power for three hours, weather permitting.

The lights should be back on by the time many residents get out of bed, however, anyone who still uses a plug-in alarm clock will have to make other arrangements if they are looking to get out of bed early.
