The Weyburn Police Service has been busy for the past week, dealing with a number of thefts of all varieties around the city.

Last Thursday, police received a report of a theft after a patient at the hospital reported their hearing aids had been taken. There are no suspects at this time, and the incident remains under investigation.

The same day, a report was received by the police about the theft of some items from a vehicle. The victim said the vehicle had been entered, and some items were taken, along with a wallet. The incident is still under investigation, with no suspects at this time.

Saturday, police were called to a local business regarding a shoplifting report. While there are at the business, police located a man who matched the description of the suspect. A 43-year-old man was arrested and charged with theft under $5,000. He was also charged with an earlier theft at the same business. He was released from custody and will appear in court at a later date.

Saturday also saw the police begin an investigation for a stolen truck. It was stolen on the east side of Weyburn. It was later located, and the incident remains under investigation.
