UPDATE: Death in Yellow Grass: RCMP investigating cordoned off home

RCMP have not released any further details following the discovery of a woman's body in Yellow Grass Thursday night.

Sources close to the victim say the woman was murdered. RCMP are simply calling the death "suspicious" at this time. Discover Weyburn, at the RCMP's request, is not naming the victim at this time as not all of the family have been notified.

RCMP have cordoned off the entire home located at 307 Brome Street and the street in front of the home.

Yellow Grass Fire Department and EMS were the first on the scene followed by the RCMP. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. There has been a police presence ever since. RCMP officers on the scene confirmed it was an ongoing investigation.

RCMP have not said whether or not any arrests have been made. At 2:45 PM, they issued a written statement, stating there were no further details to release. They said they are still at the scene in Yellow Grass, and repeated there is no danger to the public.

The statement added that more information will be released when it is available.
