Weyburn Police Service responded to a call on Wednesday morning after an oversized load collided with a power line as well as some trees. The incident happened just after 6:00 a.m. on First Avenue NW.

Police were on the scene and helped with traffic and to ensure safety before crews arrived. It was originally believed to be a SaskPower line, however, was later confirmed to belong to Access Communications. Crews from Access were on the scene before too long and spent a few hours doing repairs on the line.

A piece of farm equipment was to blame driving along Highway 13 before coming into contact with the line.
