The Saskatchewan Health Authority, in a written release issued on Monday, confirmed the emergency services at the Marian Health Centre in Radville will be resuming next week.

The SHA stated they had secured temporary physician coverage in Radville for the last week of July and the month of August. This will allow them to re-open the emergency services in the community starting on July 27th.

In terms of coverage going forward, the SHA stated they were continuing efforts to recruit physicians for Radville. Some of the other options they have explored include using virtual care in the emergency room.

The ER in Radville had been closed since, according to the SHA website, May 8th. It was listed as one of 12 health centres in Saskatchewan which had been converted to Alternate Levels of Care by the SHA as part of their COVID-19 strategy. Eight of the other facilities have since reopened.
