RCMP now say further information may be released Sunday afternoon on Thursday's suspicious death of a woman in Yellow Grass.

The only information divulged so far came in a formal news release from the RCMP which was distributed Friday morning.

According to the release, the Milestone detachment of the RCMP and the Milestone fire department were called to a house fire in Yellow Grass Thursday evening. In fact, it was the Yellow Grass fire department which responded.

According to the release, emergency crews found the body of a woman at the scene, and police described her death as suspicious.

Neighbours have indicated a family with young children lived in the home at 307 Brome Street.

However there has been no indication from investigators as to the whereabouts of family members, nor whether any suspects are being sought or are under arrest.

They did say there is no danger to the public.

An RCMP official in Regina says more information could be released by Sunday afternoon.
