Starting Monday, Weyburn residents will be receiving a delivery, as Regens Disposal begins the roll-out of recycling bins in the city. The bins are on their way ahead of the expected early July start of the city’s curbside recycling program.

“A few guys will be out hand delivering the all of the carts to all of the residents that are subscribed to the weyburn program, and they’ll be dropping them off at the front of people’s residences, so they will be free to move them wherever they need to,” explained Travis Frank, the community relations manager with Regens Disposal.

In addition to the bins, there will also be a brochure dropped off with a schedule for the pick up dates. Also included will be the list of what can and can’t be placed in the bins, as well as other information about the recycling program.

Frank said while the bin roll-out begins Monday, it won’t be happening overnight. They anticipate it to take roughly a week and a half for all of the bins to be delivered, ahead of the start of the program in early July. If residents haven’t received their recycling bins for the curbside recycling program by June 28th, he added they can get in touch with Regens.
