In recent weeks, Weyburn residents and people travelling through the city have experienced some road works, causing diversions..

"The lead service line replacement program is still active, we have completed 42 of 52 lead water line replacements. We are making good progress," said Laura Delanoy, Assistant Engineer, City of Weyburn

If anyone believes they have lead pipe water service should have the property owners contact the city to have the inspection.

Residents should keep in mind this program will be completed this weekend or Monday so that will want to be sorted out as soon as possible.

The new water meters are also currently being replaced in the city. There have so far been approximately 500 water meters installed.

Delanoy explained how the installations of new meters can take as little as fifteen minutes.

"There's very little impact as far as the time it takes to get your water meter replaced."

Delanoy added that appointments continue to be made with residents of Weyburn to for the meters to be replaced.

The completion of the water meters was previously set for March 2018.
