The Weyburn Salvation Army building and Thrift store have been in the fourth street location for many years and will soon be moving to a new building.

"The Salvation Army has purchased a new building, we're super excited about that," explains Jennifer Lorinczy, Community Ministries Coordinator.

Lorinczy adds the renovations will start later this month.

"It is expected to take a few months, probably Spring, late Spring, early Summer we will be moving to a different building."

The new building is on the corner of 4th street and Railway Avenue.

"It was the old college offices and MNP was in there one time."

The Thrift store and family services will be in the same building and on the same floor.

"They will be separated though so anybody wanting to access Family services your confidentiality will still remain the same."

"We're moving to serve the community better. We have stairs in our current building and that's not always a good thing."

"Another reason why we are moving is size."

Lorinczy said the thrift store has outgrown its current space

"We'll have a bigger thrift store, we'll have a bigger food bank and thats super exciting for us."
