The Signal Hill Arts Centre is breaking up the long winter months with art programs for families.

Arts and Culture Director for the City of Weyburn Alice Neufeld explained that one class in particular, called 'my own group painting', can be taken by the whole family.

"It's a step-by-step painting on canvas. That one will be open to all ages, so a family can sign up for it. Ages six to 106 are welcome," said Neufeld.

It is a one-day class held on Saturday, February 17 from 1 to 3 p.m.

They have programs specifically for children, including a drama class, a clay class and even a teen pottery class.

"We have a really good preschool program," shared Neufeld. "It's for ages three to five and that one will be starting up really quickly, February the 3rd, and parents have the choice of trying it out for three weeks or actually signing up for the entire six weeks."

There are also several clay classes, ink art, drawing and creative writing classes for adults.
