Storms passing through southeast Saskatchewan left their mark Monday night. The storms, which began around 5:50 p.m., traveled southeast from Francis and Weyburn to Estevan, with the final warnings lifted around 8:30 p.m.
The storm brought with it hail the size of loonies and toonies, and wind gusts upwards of 100 kilometers an hour. Heavy rain also accompanied the storms.

In Estevan, which had seen extensive flooding after a storm exactly one year earlier, 20 millimeters of rain fell. Near Halbrite and Hitchcock, hail damaged crops and vehicles.
Also hit by the storms which passed through the province was Saskatoon. There, the city was brought to a standstill by extensive flooding and hail.
