A musician from Vancouver has featured Creelman and Forget on his latest music video.

Bob Westfall has produced many music videos before, but on this occasion he tapped into his family roots for some inspiration.

Westfall says his grandmother, Clara Twigg grew up in the small prairie community between 1920 and 1940. She left by train for Winnipeg, then moved on to Great Britain as a member of the Canadian Women's Army Corps. "She met my grandpa overseas, who happened to be from Weyburn, SK. They got married in '47, after returning from overseas and moving to Vancouver." Westfall told Discover Weyburn.

Even though she'd been gone all those years, Westfall's grandmother hadn't forgotten the village. "My Grandma, she always talked about growing up in Creelman, and so, I thought I'm going through Saskatchewan, so I might as well check out Creelman." added Westfall.

He began last year's journey on the east coast, shots of which he also included in the video.

Westfall worked his way west, recording more video as he went along. When he researched his trip, he read about a place called the Happy Nun where musicians had previously performed. He wasn't sure exactly where it was, but found it anyway. "I stumbled across Forget, and there it was, the Happy Nun, the place that all these other singers had played."

He recalls Forget being a windy place, as evidenced in the video, where he loses his hat, time after time. "I need a chin strap on the hat. I got that hat for 2 bucks from a thrift store, maybe 5 years ago."

Westfall has posted his music video, The Hobo Song, on the Village of Creelman's Facebook page. He's pleased with the response. "I don't know these people, so it's good that they're enjoying it, and watching it."
