It looks like spring may finally be here to stay in southeast Saskatchewan after an unusually long winter.

People were out enjoying the warmest day Weyburn has had so far this year yesterday when the mercury hit 17 degrees Celsius. Today's forecasted high is 19 degrees.

"Finally temperatures have made it to the average mark, after being so far below average for the beginning of April and into the second week of April," shared Environment Canada's John Paul Cragg.

He added they are forecasting even warmer than average temperatures for the end of April.
