The Weyburn Police initiative "This Ride's On Us" just finished it's second month and has awarded it's second grand prize on Friday.

Boyd Dennis won a $500 travel voucher courtesy CAA.

"Thank you for not drinking and driving, we've seen an increase in vehicles being left all around the city which is absolutely fabulous," says Constable Melinda Mintenko, with the Weyburn Police Service.

The program couldn't be a success without all the local sponsors. MADD and SGI are sponsors of the program as well.

"It's an awareness campaign just to encourage people not to drive impaired, you've heard this message again and again, but what's really great about this is the commitment from the community," says Weyburn Police Chief Marlo Pritchard.

The program has been extended until the end of January 2018. The program also allows individuals to pre-register to "This Ride's On Us" at their private events, including house parties.
