The Saskatchewan Party Leadership Candidates continue to tour around Saskatchewan as they enter the last two weeks before the election.

Ken Cheveldayoff, Saskatchewan Party Leadership Candidate, was in the city this week meeting with Saskatchewan Party members in Weyburn.

"It was very cold but people were very anxious to open their doors and let us in and it's always good to have a discussion. I'm very much a grassroots candidate and was able to have those discussions one-on-one with Sask. Party Members in Weyburn," said Cheveldayoff.

Cheveldayoff said the focus for the campaign now is on leadership since Premier Brad Wall announced he was stepping down this summer.

The deadline for receiving of the mail-in ballots is January 26. Cheveldayoff is asking Sask. Party members to mail them by January 22 to ensure they make it in on time.

"We're encouraging them to get it in right away."

Alanna Koch, Gord Wyant, Tina Beaudry-Mellor, Gord Wyant, and Scott Moe are the other candidates vying for the leadership spot.

The convention where the final vote is counted will be on January 27 in Regina.
