The unseasonably warm weather we're experiencing could bring more rain and thundershowers, like the one that brought 13.3 millimetres of rain to the city Thursday.

Environment Canada meteorologist John Paul Cragg said we could even see a thundershower this evening.

"That's thanks to the low pressure system that's been over the area for the past couple of days and brought all those thundershowers to the area yesterday," explained Cragg.

He said another system is moving over the province over the weekend, bringing the potential for showers Saturday night and Sunday morning. That system has the potential to bring a thunderstorm as well.

Cragg said the average temperature for this time of year is about 20 degrees Celsius. This weekend and upcoming week the temperature is expected to be above the 25-degree mark.
