Nineteen artists took part in this year's local art adjudication.

An event was held Friday for the artists, with three local artists coming out on top. Erin Sidloski won first place, Rickee Lee Webster got second place and Hannah Grieve received third place.

"I just feel, like, super-inspired by nature and the beauty of Canada and the places I travel," shared Sidloski about her paintings.

Curator for the City of Weyburn Regan Lanning spoke at the event, explaining the adjudication was an opportunity for artists to receive feedback from professionals, helping artists further their abilities. The two professional artists adjudicating were Val Moker and Allan Dobson.

Lanning said she has secured four of Sidloski's paintings for the City of Weyburn's Permanent Collection.

The artists received trophies this year created by local artist Jaren Bell. The winners will receive a joint show at the Allie Griffin Art Gallery next April.
