This morning the City of Weyburn is continuing its weed spraying program in some of its small parks.

Pink flagging will be in place around the perimeter of areas sprayed for 24 hours following application.

"We just really want to remind residents to avoid those parks for 24 hours after the spraying has been done," expressed Paige Tenbult, Communications Coordinator for the City of Weyburn. "This is especially a concern for children and pets. Also please don't approach City staff that are out doing the weed spraying just for your safety."

Areas included in the weed spraying today will be:

  • Don Mitchell Park

  • Elks Park

  • Laing Crescent Park

  • Kinsmen Park

  • Gordon Miles Park

The weed and dandelion control spraying program started on Monday, May 10, and has covered several parts of the city already.

"The weed spraying program in these parks will take place enough time before the weekend," Tenbult added. "So you can go out and enjoy those parks come Saturday and Sunday."
