The City of Weyburn started their weed spraying program Monday morning in the 16th Street area. The spraying takes place every year, and the start date is always weather-dependent.

“More information will be updated on City of Weyburn social media platforms as well as Everbridge as to future dates and locations,” explained Curtis Block, Parks Manager for the City of Weyburn.

Areas that have been sprayed are marked off with signage, as well as pink flags. It is asked that people and pets stay off the grass in areas where the spraying has occurred for at least a day.

“It's a contact spray, so after about 24 hours, it’s safe again – it kind of goes away,” added Block.
