It was a crazy busy weekend for the Weyburn Agricultural Society as they held their third annual Fall Brawl Demo Derby after having to postpone last year's event.

The event was well attended by the community and saw participants take part from all over the province and beyond.

"We put this on with the Southeast Demolition Club and we had 10 cars in the Demolition Derby, we had five tracks in the Truck Derby, and then we had six modified cars that showed up to put on an entertaining heat of smashing and crashing," shared Vice President TJ Metheral. "Some guys came from Winnipeg, Saskatoon, and all sorts of places to put on a really good modified show. So we just wanted to finish off some of the cars that we had from the Rumble in the Ring Fair Derby and it's been growing every year."

There were also a number of individuals that brought out their modified lawn mowers for the derby on Sunday at the Ag Society Fair Grounds.

The overall derby winners in the feature event were Jarad Bourassa of Radville in first place, Mac Metheral of Yellow Grass in second, and Colton Dodd of Moose Jaw snagged the third-place prize.

"We'd like to thank all of our sponsors and volunteers," Metheral expressed. "We always rely on the community and we tell all of our guys to shop local and support our sponsors as much as they can. We also want to thank everyone for coming out and supporting the Ag Society. We even had fans there an hour before the show and we want to thank them too."
