It was a strong turn out for the Weyburn and District Hospital Foundation's 7th Annual Golf Tournament.

"This event raises money for equipment for the new hospital which someday will be a reality," says Dale Renz one of the event organizers.

The tournament saw people from all around the region to support this important cause.

"Having events like this is two fold, it gets our name out there so people know who we are and what we're about, and it also raises much-needed funds," says Melanie Sorenson with the hospital foundation.

The event had some special guests in attendance including New York Giant's Brett Jones.

"I've been seeing a lot of things out here a lot of beautiful scenery, lots of big sky, lots of sunshine, the only thing I haven't seen to tell you the truth is golfing, these guys are awful," joked special tournament host Angus McJagger from the Glasgow Golf Network.

The final numbers aren't in yet, however, the people and the beautiful weather has already made the day a huge success.
