The Weyburn Concert Series plans to announce the names of their next season’s acts during their next concert on March 27th.

“At the Ghostboy concert, the 2019-2020 season is going to be released, so the season tickets will go on sale then and we're very excited about it,” said Weyburn Concert Series president Linda Aitken.

She said next season will include seven concert events.

“We've worked very hard to make this come to fruition and it's going to be another fantastic season,” said Aitken.

One of the biggest changes the WCS has made for the upcoming season is the discontinuation of the Play it Forward ticket system. Previously, if a ticket wasn’t used at one concert, it could be used at a future concert within the current WCS season.

“We're finding with our membership as large as it is and the availability of seats in our wonderful Cugnet Centre, we can not continue with playing it forward. So the ticket is for whatever said date, day and time,” explained Aitken.

She said because around 1,000 people can be seated in the Cugnet Centre, the logistics of playing tickets forward simply doesn't work anymore.

Tickets will be available, for cash or cheque only, in Weyburn at Old Fashion Foods and Music Craft.
