The #concussionsarenotphair movement is becoming more than just a hashtag to build awareness.

Weyburn Red Wings fans Sam Tindall and Kailee Bell launched the idea after the retirement of Weyburn Red Wings netminder Carter Phair. The 18-year-old hockey player had to cut his SJHL career short after a concussion during a game in Kindersley in November 2017.

The movement started with just T-shirts, but Tindall said it's getting even bigger.

"We have a website that is currently under construction there so as soon as we have that one hundred percent ready to go we will plaster that all over social media," explained Tindall.

They are also aiming to bring a concussion education clinic to Weyburn for coaches from all sports, as well as the general public. The date for the clinic is expected to be announced later this week.

Orders of T-shirts, long-sleeved shirts and hoodies can be found on their website. A portion of the sales will go towards the #concussionsarenotphair movement.
