If you are looking for a new pet the Weyburn Humane Society has news for you. Besides having a handful of dogs the Humane Society has many new cats and kittens up for adoption.

"We encourage the public to come down, we're open from 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., come and check out the animals and hopefully they can find their forever home," says Humane Society President Pam Arndt-Schick. "We could use bleach, laundry soap, garbage bag, kitten food as we do have quite a few kittens."

Arndt-Schick adds that the Humane Society is very thankful for the continued support from the community through volunteering and donations.

The Weyburn Humane Society will be holding a Burger Night to help raise awareness and funds for the animals.

"On August the 15th we are having a Brown's Burger Night, it's going to be held at Brown's Social House," says Arndt-Schick. "Tickets are $25 each and you can pick them up at the shelter."
