Last Friday, The Weyburn Police Service tried to pull over a silver Lexus, which was driving dangerously.

The driver failed to stop which lead to a short chase. The car chase was called off for safety reasons.

"Running form the police is never a good option, it not only increases your trouble with the law but it creates a hugely unsafe situation for all users of the road," explained Inspector Rod Stafford, Weyburn Police Service.

"The suspect vehicle was located in the city yesterday and as the result of some excellent work by the investigators yesterday, they were able to conclusively determine that was the vehicle involved," added Stafford

Stafford also adds that the individual was located and arrested and is also facing charges and arrest warrants out of Saskatoon and at least one other jurisdiction.

The charges include Dangerous Driving, Evading Police and Driving While Suspended as well as one other charge under the Saskatchewan Traffic Safety Act.
