The Weyburn Special Olympics team is heading to Moose Jaw.

Four athletes from Weyburn will be heading to Moose Jaw to represent the southeast in the province wide competition.

Three athletes from Weyburn, Stephanie Guest, Vernon Ernst, and Doug Frijou will be competing in five pin bowling. One athlete, Antonius Quist will be going to compete in swimming.

Lynn Quist with the Special Olympics says that all of the athletes are looking forward to the competition.

Three of the volunteers will be receiving awards in recognition of their years of service: Jo-Ann Paxman, Shawn Guest, and Lynn Quist.

The competition runs until Sunday, June 18, with the final event taking place at 12:00 p.m. at Mosaic Place.
