Environment Canada has issued a wind warning for much of southern Saskatchewan, including the southeast.

An intense low pressure system is expected to move through the region, bringing with it very strong winds. Gusts upwards of 90 to 100 km/h are expected beginning this afternoon. There could even be gusts exceeding 110 km/h in some areas.

The winds are expected to die down overnight and early Wednesday as the system moves through to Manitoba.

Damage to buildings, such as roof shingles and windows is possible. The high winds may also toss around loose objects, and cause tree branches to be damaged.
