After a much less busy year in 2020, the Sooline Cruisers were able to host and attend quite a few more events this year with time still remaining as long as the weather holds up.

"We had a busy year and did a lot of cruise nights every Thursday evening," told current President for the Sooline Cruisers, Trevor Sealy. "Every week we would pick a different place to meet, get together, and sometimes have supper. So it was just fun to get out and meet everybody."

Sealy said that despite this year having more events for their members to take part in the group decided to continue meeting less frequently as they had done in 2020.

"Last year we were not able to have our usual June car show as well as this year so we joined up with the Ag Society and we did a show in July and raised over $900 which we donated back to the Ag Society for their roof repair project," expressed Sealy. "So that was really fun to be able to do that at the same time as the Fair."

Last weekend the Sooline Cruisers were able to do their first Swap Meet as a club and Sealy stated that they plan to make it a yearly event from now on.

He also said that the club has maintained their membership throughout the pandemic and have gained quite a bit of interest from the community throughout 2021.

The next meeting for the Sooline Cruisers is scheduled for Tuesday, October 12, 2021, at the Weyburn Legion and they are inviting everyone to join them.

"At our next meeting we're hoping to kind of set the pace for what we're looking to do next year in 2022 which will include our show in June hopefully," Sealy shared. "We try to host as many poker runs as we can as well as other car events and then try to get off to see other car shows in surrounding areas like Estevan and Radville. So we try to team up with other car clubs and attend their shows as well as they attend ours. So that's going to be our focus is to do even more of that."
