It's that time of year once again to deck the halls and residents in Weyburn have been fortunate enough to have easy access to real Christmas trees for over 65 years, thanks to the Young Fellows Tree Lot.

Jeremy Wall, chair of the Young Fellows Tree Lot shared that they brought in 1,600 trees that first year in 1951.

"The trees came by train back then...and they were taken to the shack by horse and buggy," explained Wall.

This year the Young Fellows brought in roughly 500 balsam and Fraser fir trees. All money raised at the Young Fellows Tree Lot goes back into the community, said Wall.

The tree lot is located behind the Co-op Food Store and is open daily until December 22.

The Young Fellows will even pick-up your tree after Christmas for disposal. Pick-up date is January 13, 2019.
