Both the Soo Line Historical Museum and the Heritage Village reopened their doors for the season on Monday, and are gearing up for a fun-filled summer!

Justine Gosling and Rekina Browatzke spent some time touring the Heritage Village Tuesday afternoon, alongside this season's tour guides Nicole Clampitt and Drew Paquette. Newly opened in the village a small rustic building featuring an old newspaper gallery and set up, as well as an ancient loom used back in the day to create clothing.

To prove just how great the Heritage Village is, we snapped a few pictures in the interactive museum:

Justine Gosling locked inside the RNWMP jail cell built directly in a former officers home.

Rekina Browatzke trying out the still playable pump organ inside the town chapel.

Learning to cut grass early 1900's style.

Nicole Clampitt, a local history expert, sharing the stories of the past.

After trying out an old telephone, Justine Gosling heavily considered trading her smart phone in.

Drew Paquette and Nicole Clampitt claim some of these buildings are haunted, and the ancient toys only add eeriness.

Spa day! Getting your hair permed back in the day was a real gamble.

Both the Soo Line Historical Museum and the Heritage Village will be open daily from May 15th - August 25th from 10:00 am - 6:00 pm. Admission is $5.00 for adults, $3.00 for seniors and youth, $2.00 for children aged 6-12, and 5 and under are free!
