Colleen Weimer and Kendra Gonczy are all in when it comes to their mission: getting local teens to New York City for a performance at the renowned Carnegie Hall. Their relentless dedication is truly commendable. Their upcoming fundraiser features Andrew Lloyd Webber’s "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat."

Co-director, Colleen Weimer shares the details, “This is the story of Joseph right from Genesis, a Bible story that Andrew Lloyd Webber has taken and made into a musical. It has a variety of styles of music. There is a ton of humor. It is a story told all in song. It's full of energy and its sort of a story that never stops from beginning to end.”

True to the Weimer spirit of "go hard or go home," the cast and chorus are once again enormous!

“We have 12 brothers who range in age from 15 to a little bit older. We have some adult brothers and then we have our girls chorus, our teenage girls, and that is about 25 people. Then we have about 30 children in it that come in for the children's chorus. And so it's very fun, very exciting,” added Weimer.

Rehearsals only began seven weeks ago, and the show already opens on May 9th, at the Grace United Church. Audience members who would like to enjoy a dinner before the show can purchase dinner theatre tickets either for the Thursday or Friday night performances.

“Thursday night features a dinner theater which has become very popular and it's a great meal. You can get your tickets to the supper and the show and you will get into the show first that night if you have dinner tickets.”

Weimer also shared they are trying something new, the Friday night show will offer a Family Dinner, where audience members have a choice between a burger, hotdog or taco in a bag which includes an ice cream bar.

The family friendly show will have three evening performances that will kick off at 7 p.m. and will run from Thursday, May 9th to Saturday, May 11th with a Sunday matinee performance on May 12th at 2 p.m.  Ticket prices vary and can be purchased at the Grace United Church.
