The Yellow Grass Wheat Kings are leaving the Big 6 Hockey League to play in the Notekeu Hockey League.
The Notekeu Hockey League announced Yellow Grass is one of three teams joining their ranks this season, along with the Radville Nationals and Rouleau Ramblers.
Notekeu expands for 23/24 season.

The Notekeu Hockey League has expanded by adding 3 franchises for the upcoming season. The Rouleau Ramblers, Radville Nationals and Yellow Grass Wheat Kings have officially joined the league.
Yellow Grass won the Big 6 Hockey League in 2018-19. The eventual champion Redvers Rockets swept Yellow Grass in last season's semifinal.
The Wheat Kings formed for the 2016-17 Big 6 Hockey League season.
The Big 6 Hockey League has not released their 2023-24 schedule.
