The Bantam A Knight Dodge Wings are off to the second round of the provincials, after picking up two wins over the Estevan Bruins Monday night.

The Wings played host for the second game of the provincial series. Estevan had the edge entering the game, having won the first matchup in Estevan by a 5-4 final.

The Bruins would be the first to score, taking a 1-0 lead into the dressing room after the first period. Weyburn would get a reply from Trent Benning in the second period before Estevan answered back with a pair of goals to regain the lead and extend it to 3-1.

Before the second period was over, though, Weyburn would again tie things up. Lucas Hughes and Dalton Molnar found the back of the net to make it 3-3 through two periods of play.

In the third, Memphis Walter would score to give the Wings the victory.

With the series now tied at a game apiece, a ten-minute minigame was played immediately afterwards, with the winner of the game advancing to face Swift Current in the second round.

Weyburn dominated the mini-game and would get the victory when Molnar scored his second of the night with ten seconds left on the clock.

The dates for the second-round matchup with Swift Current have yet to be determined. The Wings, though, still have league games to play. They will be back on the ice Tuesday night when they host Moose Jaw.
