The Police report has been released from Christmas week, December 25th - January 1st.

"As far as we were concerned, the serious interactions with the police just weren't there. There were a number of fairly routine calls but sometimes Christmas can be very stressful with some pretty significant issues arising, that didn't happen this year and that is a good thing for everybody," explains Deputy Chief Rod Stafford, Weyburn Police Service.

"I think the one that stuck out more than others and didn't have anything to do with Christmas at all was the break into a residence while there were people involved, which resulted in an assault once the person was inside."

"This matter is still under investigation we are still looking to positively identify him and speak with the suspect," added Stafford.

"This is a little out of character for Weyburn and unrelated to Christmas."

Stafford also adds that the break-in and assault could rise to the level of being a home invasion.

"We are not staying that yet, there are a number of things which have to be in place for those types of offences and charges to be laid."

"That will come as the investigation proceeds once we identify the suspect."

Other incidents from the police report involved alcohol and breaches of Court orders.
