Weyburn's NAPA Auto Parts will be hosting a car show and barbeque fundraiser for the Soo Line Cruisers Car Club on Saturday, August 13th.
"Every cent that is raised from the barbeque is going to go directly back to the Weyburn Soo Line Cruisers," shared Marketing Manager Britney Fisher.
"Anybody is welcome to bring their cars or their vehicles. You do not have to be part of the Weyburn Soo Line Cruisers, because everybody just likes to check out cars! So anyone is welcome to come and bring your vehicle to the NAPA Auto Parts parking lot, bring your vehicle around 10:30, get them all lined up, shined up, and hopefully, the people come to check out the vehicles and eat some delicious barbeque that's going to a great cause."
"These clubs always are looking for some sort of funds to help operate, so we thought, why not give back to these guys?"
Fisher said the car show event is free to attend, but the barbeque costs will be enough to ensure the car club gets some help. $10 gets you a cheeseburger, chips, and pop, and $5 buys a hot dog, chips, and pop.
"It's just a great way to bring the community together. NAPA is a bit out of town, so it gets people out and about town a little and there's something different to do," she encouraged.
NAPA Auto Parts is located on Hwy 13 near E. Bourassa & Sons and the Coop Home Centre.
She shared why they're supporting the car club with this event.
"We have great customers that come from the Soo Line Cruisers, so we want to be able to give back to them in some capacity as well. We were involved in their car show earlier in the summer, and it's just a great community of people and we have a lot in common, so let's all get together again."
The barbeque will run from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
