There were 334 new cases of COVID-19 reported in Saskatchewan Thursday afternoon in the provincial government’s daily update. In addition to the new cases, there were also three more deaths linked to the virus reported – two in Regina and one in the North Central zone. 

The daily update also reported there were 278 recoveries reported. This brings the total number of active cases across the province up to 2,947. 

Of the new cases reported across Saskatchewan, 83 were in Saskatoon, 65 in the North Central zone, 49 in Regina, 33 in the South East zone, 24 in the Far North east zone, 15 in the Far North West zone, 14 in the North East zone, 11 in the North West zone, six in the Central East zone, four in the Central West zone, one in the Far North Central, South West and South Central zones, and 27 cases have pending residence information. 

There are currently 167 people in hospital receiving treatment for COVID-19. Of those patients, 29 are in intensive care. 

The seven-day average of new cases is now 254.  

Of the 33 new cases reported in the South East zone, 10 were reported in South East 3, which includes Weyburn and the surrounding area, bringing the number of active cases for the subzone to 46. There were 15 new cases reported in South East 1, seven new cases in South East 2 and one new case in South East 4.
