If you're looking to get photos of your furry friend this Christmas, the Weyburn Humane Society will be holding their annual Photos With Santa event. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there are a few changes that will be in place this year.

Due to social distancing requirements, Santa will be peeking out from behind a Christmas tree rather than being beside the family and their furry friends.

"So you can bring anything," explained Lisa Webb with the Weyburn Humane Society. "Last year we even had a goat come."

However, if the photo is just with the pet alone Santa will be seated with the furry friend rather than be peeking out from behind the tree. In addition to the physical distancing measures, there will also be increased sanitization as you enter and leave Pet Valu. As well, there will be appointments for the photos to help control the flow of traffic.

Courtney Kesslering Photography and Design will be taking pictures for the event. Each photo costs $10.

These appointments are now open for booking.

You can phone or text 306-541-9397 or message the Weyburn Humane Society FaceBook page.

Photos will happen on November 14th from 1 - 4 p.m. and November 15th from 10 a.m - 1 p.m.
