The season is coming to an end for the 15U AA Weyburn Beavers after the 2022 Western Canada Championships in Estevan.
The team finished with an overall record of 18-1-1, placing 2nd in the league. They took 2nd place in a Saskatoon tournament at the start of the season, got a 2-2 record during a Swift Current AAA tournament, were Tier 1 Provincial Champions for the 2nd year in a row, and finished the season at the Western Canada Championships where they came away with a few close games and a win.
There were home runs from Isaac MacKay, Morgan LaCoste, Noah Bourassa, Justin Whitrow, Jarret Hayward, and Haydin Buehler this season, and a Fun in the Park home run from Cole Godlonton.
Connor McIndoe, Camden Husband, and Eli Hansen were outstanding pitchers throughout the season alongside many others on the team. Brody Walter, Austin Zackirsson, and many others were catchers.
Reid Beck and Hunter Schwartz joined the team to play at Westerns.
The team says goodbye to Isaac MacKay as he will be moving in the fall.
They are thankful to Head Coach Tyrel Hansen, Coach Jamie Godlonton, Coach Shawn Whitrow, Coach Gord Husband, and all of the player's parents.
