The 2019 Weyburn Opportunity Road Race took place over the weekend with a very good turn-out despite cooler weather.

The event raised quite a bit of money for the local Tatagwa Parkway Trails in Weyburn, that have recently seen a loss in funding from the government.

The Opportunity Road Race has always required the community's support to be successful and this year was no different as a number of local businesses donated in various ways and many community members volunteered their time.

The weather appeared daunting but besides a few rain drops the run was dry and only a little cooler than some would have liked it to be. However I'm sure many of the runners were totally fine with the cooler temperatures during their five and ten kilometer walks/runs.
