For those who love to stay physically active, a virtual event will be taking place tomorrow that enables some friendly distance competition.

"Canada Day might be celebrated a little differently this year, with people practicing physical distancing, but Weyburn's Souris River Run has teamed up with a number of other running groups and clubs in the province, like the Queen City Marathon, partnering with the Provincial Captial Commission, to celebrate with a Virtual Canada Day Run, Walk, or Roll, so that means you can walk, you can run, you can take your bike and get out and get active," explained Glenn Rogers with the Weyburn Run Club and Souris River Run.

He says participation is completely free.

"You can sign on for a 5K, 10K, 15K, whatever you want, It's a way to get active and we're challenging each of the other clubs and communities throughout the province," he noted.

"Looking forward to having everybody take part, and seeing how Weyburn stacks up against the rest of the province," added Rogers.

Whether you plan to hit the trails tomorrow anyway, or you like the motivation of a challenge, you may enjoy taking part in the inter-community competition.
