Saskatchewan has been fortunate with a mild end to the summer with minimal weather incidents. This has been a huge relief to many farmers in the region, as it is allowing for a relatively tame harvest season.

This mild weather is expected to stick around throughout the weekend.

While we can expect some hazy skies due to the wildfires in the USA, the weekend will have relatively tame weather with some showers expected this evening and into tomorrow.

"What we're looking at is we have a ridge of high pressure coming which is kind of a summer pattern that is bringing in very warm temperatures," explained Elissa Peterson with Environment and Climate Change Canada. "By Sunday there is a low-pressure system that is coming from Alberta and going to Manitoba that is going to bring rain with it to parts of Saskatchewan."

We can expect temperatures in the mid '20s throughout the coming week, and depending on wind patterns we may continue to see hazy, smokey skies. While there is no risk of it yet, smoke from the wildfires in the south could affect the air in Saskatchewan.
