An Estevan woman charged with murder made her first appearance in Estevan Provincial Court this morning.

The Estevan Police Service charged twenty-four year old Whitney Whitecap following investigation into the stabbing death of a twenty year old Estevan male.

Her next court appearance is scheduled for Thursday, January 24th.

A twenty-nine year old Estevan male was also in court today for the attempted stabbing of an eighteen year old Estevan male.

Lonnie Dittmer has been charged with attempted murder, and will appear in court again on Thursday.

According to Police, both charges result from the same incident.

Further charges may be pending.

The name of the deceased is being withheld at this time.
