Thanks to a grant they received, Mainprize Regional Park has been playing movies every week throughout the summer in Pederson Place.

"We've played quite a few, and we usually put a vote out to residents, campers, people coming in, asking them what movie they'd like to stream," shared Park Manager Michelle Walsh.

"We have an indoor and outdoor screen, but unfortunately, we haven't been able to host outdoor yet, but we are making a plan to do an outdoor movie event at the end of the season," she noted.

Walsh said they have a great concession, with popcorn, chips, candy, and pop.

"It's lots of fun for families to come and just kind of watch a movie, relax, kick back a little bit," she said. "It's a really fun event for kids for the summer."

She added that this past Sunday afternoon they featured Jumanji, which had about 30 in attendance.
