Even though they don't head back to the Legislature until March, our MLA has been very busy over the past few weeks.

Weyburn-Big Muddy MLA Dustin Duncan tells us what he's been up to since the fall session wrapped up.

"It's been a lot of work that continues on in Regina....For me being in Cabinet means that the responsibilities of the Ministry continue. When the Legislature broke after the Fall Session, I continued to spend quite a bit of time driving back and forth from Weyburn to Regina. We're also in the budget cycle for the upcoming 2010-11 budget."

He says, even though they slowed down a little bit over the holidays, the government is busy and right back at it and Ducan says he thinks it is going to be a big year in the province.

Duncan also shared his thoughts on Prime Minister Stephen Harper proroguing government until March, "It's interesting because as a Provincial Legislature we normally don't go back until March. For me it seems normal, but I understand the Federal system, they sit a lot longer." He says it really doesn't affect the relationship between the Federal and Provincial governments.
