The Weyburn Humane Society is holding its seed fundraiser once again.

This comes at a good time, as the shelter is dealing with another flood from a pipe bursting, while still trying to rebuild from the last flood.

"I am just so thankful it happened now before the new drywall went in,” Shelter Manager Colleen Morrice said. “I would be devastated otherwise."

The seeds are purchased through Make it Sow, an organization that works with non-profits to run fundraisers.

“There are vegetables, flowers, there are little seed starting kits with little soil disks,” Karie Ruckaber, Treasurer of the Humane Society said. “They're all on the website for Make it Sow.”

Repairs are being done to the building, and if enough money is raised a new building could be a possibility in the future.

Those interested in starting their garden and helping the Humane Society can click here and enter the code weyburn_humane_society_2022 to view the seeds and order.

Ruckaber said that those who are uncomfortable ordering online can send her a text instead at 306-861-2991.

Orders are due on February 28th.
