Weyburn Police Service kept busy over the weekend, on the water and on land.

A combined traffic member accompanied a Conservation Officer with boat patrols on Nickle Lake, checking for alcohol consumption on boats. One adult was charged with possessing and consuming alcohol in a public place.

Police also ticketed the driver of a semi-tractor that clocked at 109 km/H in a marked 50 km/H zone through Yellow Grass. The fine was $899 and police also had some stern words for the driver.
